So glad you gave yourself the time…

All Over Time

Ever find yourself obsessing over time?

Are you trapped in this race of continuously tracking and mapping time?

Constantly checking the clock or your watch, Brain washed by society, that issues out of your direct control defines your character somewhat, forget somewhat – your punctuality and attendance defines you, A LOT!

When you break this concept down about how difficult it is to control in the real world where most of that is often out of our control, say public transport issues, family circumstances, births deaths, life’s general random timings and occurrences or maybe just when you rely on your tech and your alarm doesn’t go off! Being able to know how to in an emergency make alternative plans, not only do you have to quickly execute said recovery plan to desperately save time, we almost kill ourselves regularly in the process.

For who and for what? How has this become standard for definition of value productivity of character etc? Especially if these untimely mishaps happen a lot…Where has our tolerance gone for the anticipation of someones bad misfortune or bad lot? Or are we in a society that doesn’t trust and has been lied to a lot?!

Where do you race off to and for what? Could you be more tolerant of someone else when they feel they have no time left on the clock!? Schedules, lists, bookings, appointments no time left for YOU! Are you racing around beating the sat nav but not taking in any view!?

Its a shame when I hear how we are running out of time, we literally are running and we actually should be slowing down and living this wonderful life! We have skills and are only using such a small percentage of our brains capacity to function at the level required, however, as our world programmed and functioning and supported by machines is ever evolving and you are continuously required to update partake and compete, when do you get time to remind yourself you are a human after all? Stop the clock, get off, and internalise before you fall.

I don’t have an internal clock, well not preconditioned into the ‘standard clock’, many aspi’s on the spectrum do not, so it can make regulation and time orientation a real stumbling block! We’re often either always looking at the clock, being chased a lot or off with the fairies in our favourite spot, loosing complete track of whats what…

As a Hypnotherapist I am fortunate in so many ways, I do have the tools to be able to drift into a parallel place, a safe place in my head space, aside from the rat race.

I am constantly asked how do you do what you do? I guess the answer is that I just do, I’ve learnt to build the skills and the tools to, Ive allowed negative situations to strengthen myself and the family, we stand firm on our journey for our type of equality and I continuously look for ways to improve our abilities.

Having said that, like you, what I am so very short of, is still time…so I do have to take some of mine where I can.. and I do!

There really is so much juggling to do! So, perhaps I wouldn’t be able to factor in a weekend break to the lakes or Paris or Venice! Wow if only… so what I do have to do, is utilise what I have got. Utilise these skills in ways many do not.

When people go away to get a break they often work themselves into a stupor up to that point… trying to get everything done in time! It really is a race to have a break. And then we race through our break or fail to stop engaging with the very thoughts we travelled to escape from…

What a waste…

Then we rush to catch up from where we left off in that place – the place we tried to escape. I’m the annoying one saying everything happens for a reason and think positive, keep moving on…at the time you think you can’t move on but you do, you did, you have, before and now you are on a different chapter of a journey timed in space.

But it really should not be a race at this pace.

I invite you to make time and recognise that your brain should switch from this constant processing and switch to internal healing and to do that it works subconsciously.. Where time does not exist!

If your are not sleeping properly, time related issues, worrying over issues ahead, perhaps work related, whatever the reason may be, it’s likely the brain isn’t resting and recovering properly. Have you picked up any negative habits to help assist you rest, like that one to many extra beers or glass of wine, are we then accessing the right quality sleep where our brain is able to make sense of the day…in time?

Before we power up and start again, if we actually powered down enough at all.

Are we cutting down our life time expecting too much? Could we implement something to just give us a reset and some additional thrust.

Each day I invite you to follow and change your focus, just maybe a little and I aim to teach you some ways to redirect your energy and slow down that internal rush…

I often think, How do you guys do what you constantly do? – without these secret special tools I talk of so much…

Id be interested to know if you took time for your self this time and could reward yourself with more trust?…and a little bit more time for me to help guide you, help re-align you, while you read or perhaps listen to my valuable stuff…

Sometimes the right cliche can be good enough…Tomorrow isn’t given we don’t know if we will wake up…stop, switch off, take your moment… instead of giving up!

If you need some help with time switching off and powering down let me know…in the comments below.

Your sub-conscious is your inner warrior that you should trust to guide you. It knows & remembers all the things your conscious overcame, learned & forgot.

Give it time…
